About the No Name Creek Water Association
The No Name Creek Water Association (hereafter NNCWA) is a shareholder-owned non-profit corporation. The corporation's purpose is to provide potable and irrigation water for residents of the unincorporated No Name community in Garfield County, Colorado located in Glenwood Canyon, two miles east of the City of Glenwood Springs.
Reminder: All bleeders must be off by May 1st, and can be opened after Oct 31st.
NNCWA is community-owned
The NNCWA was originally established in 1957. In 1995, the current corporate entity was formed as the successor in interest for the previous corporate entity which was dissolved. NNCWA owns real property, water rights, easements, water treatment facilities and a water distribution network. A more detailed description NNCWA’s purpose and functions can be found in Article III of the Articles of Incorporation.
The NNCWA is currently comprised of 59 individual shareholders who hold a total of 156 individual shares. These shares serve approximately 59 primary single family residences and approximately 30 to 30 secondary residential units. The secondary units consist of accessory dwelling units (ADUs), apartments and rental cabins.
NNCWA is overseen by a five (5) member Board of Directors elected to two-year terms at the annual meeting held each July.
Zancanella and Associates, a Glenwood Springs water resource engineering firm, acts as the system’s engineer and the licensed operator with the Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
